(#47-2) November 17 2014. I like words and numbers rather than graphics—but every now and then a graphic smacks me in the face (then does it again for the hell of it).

THOUGHTS ON A RIGGED ECONOMY

THE GAME WILL SOON BE OVER. THE TOP O.1% ARE WELL ON THEIR WAY TO OWNING ALL THE MARBLES.

BUT THAT’S NOT FAIR!

AH! FINALLY, YOU NOTICED.

Let me simplify this. THE GREEN LINE IS US—THE BOTTOM 90% (THE LEGENDARY MIDDLE-CLASS) and shows we are rapidly losing our share of National Wealth.

THE BROWN LINE IS THE ULTRA-RICH—THE EQUALLY LEGENDARY 0.1% and shows that they are gaining wealth like gangbusters—and much of it comes from us..

That is what happens in a rigged economy. The ultra-rich rig it to make themselves richer. They buy the political system, and everyone else they deem useful, and rob the nation blind.

It gets worse every year—but most of us don’t even notice, and fewer still try and do anything about it.

And so democracy dies. Arguably, it is dead already.

I wonder is there a book in this?
