April 17 2014: CORPORATE TAXES GO DOWN. THOSE OF MOST AMERICANS DO NOT—SO WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT IT? VIRTUALLY NOTHING. IT GETS WORSE. 26 FORTUNE 500 COUNTRIES PAID NO FEDERAL INCOME TAX OVER THE MOST RECENT FIVE YEAR PERIOD—INCLUDING GE AND BOEING. THIS IS WRONG


SOME OF THE CORPORATIONS WHICH PAID NO FEDERAL INCOME TAX OVER THE MOST RECENT FIVE YEAR PERIOD

According to a study by the advocacy group Citizens for Tax Justice (CTJ), 26 Fortune 500 corporations paid no federal corporate income tax over the most recent five-year period. In fact, according to CTJ, they generated so many tax breaks that they reported negative taxes and often received a rebate check.
