I HAVE BEEN OFF AIR FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS
AND REALLY MISSED BLOGGING
The reasons were technical—and because I was too busy to take the necessary remedial action—and, frankly, I am not as technically competent as I would like to be (file that under massive understatement). Appreciate that I come from a generation where we still used dip pens (at school anyway). Deep down, I am probably still in culture shock.
Then, as is sometimes the way with computers, the problem vanished and, suddenly, I could upload to my website again. Somehow, I had a suspicion this might happen. I may have the computer literacy of a two year old, but I’m developing a certain affinity for the things. All it took was 30 years. I first started to use a computer seriously in 1986.
I understood the potential capabilities of computers very early on—but it has taken longer than I expected for things to work as I have long wished. They still don’t completely.
Will they ever?
I’m damned if I know.
